Reverend Angela Banks-Harris
Reverend Angela Banks - Harris is currently the Assistant Minister to the Reverend Dr. Patricia Singletary at the renown Elmendorf Reformed Church in the Village of Harlem, in New York City. She preaches and teaches the youth ministry and the congregation during the church calendar year. She is the lead gospel vocalist and soloist in the church in America and also sings abroad in her service to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Reverend Banks- Harris is also an Elder and Consistory member as well as a voting Delegate of The Manhattan Classis. Reverend Banks-Harris has a Masters Degree in Theology from The New York Theological Seminary and a Masters degree in Supervision and Administration from Bank Street Teachers College and is also a consultant. Her undergrad degree was earned at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey with a double Major in education and English. She was a teacher and administrator for 30 plus years and is currently retired from the New York City Board of Education where she was also a Union Representative for many years. Reverend Banks-Harris attends classes to remain active in advancing her service to God in times like these.
She travels when requested to Re- Present the Lord Jesus Christ through His Word and Gospel music wherever He directs her path through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Reverend Banks- Harris was Ordained at the Abyssinian Baptist Church by Reverend Doctor Calvin O'butts the Third of Harlem, New York. She also worked with the Reverend Doctor Douglas Banks at The Grace Reformed Church in Brooklyn for over 15 years as His Assistant over the Sister Church for Youth, The Mansion of God. She was the Reverend in charge of this separate youth church with her staff.
Reverend Banks- Harris is a big advocate for young people and their parents whose heart lies in this work to point these congregants to the light and love of Jesus Christ so they may hear, know, trust and believe the truth and follow the path of the Lord Jesus Christ with determination and faith while accepting the Grace, Mercy and Agape love of God. Her worship and praise are to help her congregants to make this world, a better and safer place for our children and generations to come that will lead everyone to accept the Salvation and power of the Lord's Way to Eternal life in Jesus' Name.
