
Rev. Douglas Banks
The Rev Dr Douglas Banks is a Christian man of solid integrity. He is a family man; a dedicated husband and father. He and his wife Sheila have been married for over forty-six years They have two daughters, Monique and D’Angela, one son, Christian, three grandchildren, Jasmine, Alex and Emory and one great-grandchild, Jayla.
Dr. Banks has been called into the house of God after a career in Law Enforcement. He served the NYPD as a supervisor of teachers in the police academy. He then served for several years in the office of the First Deputy Commissioner of the NYPD.
Upon receiving the call of God upon his life, Pastor Banks has accumulated over thirty years of pastoral experience through developing and implementing the Isaiah Project, to guide youth after the bombing of the World Trade Center on 9/11. He also formed an alliance with South African churches to combat Aides and the HIV epidemic and assisted the Massai tribe in Kenya with building wells in the desert. Pastor Banks is dedicated to shepherding people to Jesus Christ through Evangelism, world mission, education, and mentorship.
From June 2000 thru June 2018, he was the Senior Pastor of the historic Grace Reformed Church of Flatbush, Brooklyn New York. Now retired and Associate Pastor of the Cornerstone Church of Columbia Maryland, he continues to aspire to rebuild the old ruins, raise up the former desolations, and repair the ruined cities in the invincible name of Jesus the Christ.
